I bought this motor to replace my EJ205 that has 163K and just developed some rod knock. After finishing the motor swap, I now have smooth power and less than 55K on my motor!

Nice engine, very clean. Not a direct fit for a 2005 wrx though. Have to change the top coolant casting, intake manifold and re-use your original intake cam pulleys after plugging the oil ports for AVCS. I suggest doing plenty of research on what’s required for your application before buying to ensure that you are comfortable with the work required for a retrofit. Otherwise, no complaints at all. It was actually nicer than expected.
Oh, and UPS only delivers to the curb. So if you have a gravel driveway you will need a plan to get it from the street to the garage. Wish I had known that beforehand!

For the good – Valves, pistons and Cylinders we’re all in good shape. Appeared to have low miles. Shipped well
For the bad – timing belt was broken off, all cam pulleys we’re broke and the timing covers and tab to secure it was also. Wiring harness was also chopped
